Pixies -- Gigantic 12" 4AD
This version of "Gigantic" goes to show how much Steve Albibni helped these dopes by telling them to play like a heavy metal band. It was the toastiest thing on Surfer Rosa but here it lies on its side and plays pitiful. On the flipside there is another pathetic track that I won't even mention, and a decent live version of "Heaven" from David Lynch's Eraserhead. One good song, but not worth the price of admission. -Ed Sullivan |
